Chapter 1926: The Zhou Family Sends Wedding Invitations

Seeing Jiang Fengshou and his new employees having fun everywhere, others found it absurd.

Indeed, their suspicions were correct. What could a young lady like County Princess Lu understand about business? They probably thought she received a shop as a reward from the court, and now she was just playing around with it.

Look at how she immediately started renovating the shop, and the goods inside were strange. Even now, no one knew what this shop was selling.

County Princess Lu probably had too much money and just wanted to practice with this shop.

No wonder she didn't know the skills of hiring employees and ended up with a store manager who only knew how to flatter. This would end sooner or later.

People sneered at this, and rumors spread. Some even reached Shu Yu's ears.

Shu Yu didn't mind. She was not idle either. While Jiang Fengshou was writing the business plan, she was also pondering. She wasn't very familiar with Changjin Prefecture, so she roamed around, learned about the consumption habits of the locals and wealthy families, and visited successful shops.

That's when Zhou Tiedong's father came. He went to the inn where Shu Yu had been staying before, but she had already left.

After the old lady and the others left, Shu Yu rented a small courtyard near Fu Yuan Street. She could have stayed in the shop's backyard, but the shop was undergoing renovations, and there was a lot of dust and noise. She herself, as well as Shu Rui and the others, spent their days out and had to read and write their experiences at night, so they needed a quieter environment.

She rented a courtyard to stay temporarily. However, before she left, she left the innkeeper with an address. If someone was looking for her, they could inquire on Fuyuan Street.

That was why Zhou Tiedong's father had to look for her in the inn first, but he eventually found her small courtyard.

Seeing him, Shu Yu was surprised. "Did something happen to Zhou Tiedong?"

"No, no," Zhou Tiedong's father quickly replied, his face filled with a joyous smile. He then took out a box and pulled out an invitation from inside, handing it to Shu Yu. He said, "This is a wedding invitation. Our son Tiedong and Ah Yue will be married in two days. We wanted to ask if the County Princess has any time."

In the countryside, there were no formal wedding invitations. People usually spread the news by word of mouth, and guests would attend when the time came.

But Shu Yu was a County Princess, and in the eyes of the Zhou family, she had status and had to follow proper etiquette. So, they had taken the trouble to find the village's only scholar to write this invitation. They even put it in a box to ensure it didn't get crushed or wrinkled during the journey.

Shu Yu was surprised. "They're getting married?"

Zhou Tiedong's father chuckled happily. "Yes, our son Tiedong was noticed by the County Princess and even got a job as a assistant in the city. Now that he's become a store assistant, he must work diligently. Otherwise, he would be wasting the County Princess's hard work. So we thought, let Tiedong get married first. We had actually planned for it to happen this year, and everything is ready. Once he's married, one major event on our minds will be settled, and we can all relax."

Shu Yu smiled and said, "I might not be able to attend, but please convey my congratulations to them. I'm very busy with preparations for the shop's opening. There's a lot to do lately, and I can't find the time."

"That's alright, County Princess. We understand that you're busy. But now that you're Tiedong's boss, it's only right to inform you about this joyous occasion."

The Zhou family didn't have high expectations that Shu Yu would attend, but they still wanted to convey their feelings.
