What an appropriate upload for Mother's day, lol. <3
This is one is one of those episodes that I think will especially slap, like. 15 episodes down the line ASDFDAASDF. Still, I'd love to hear your thoughts! put a lot of creative effort into everything.

I always love creepy nightmare scenes and this episode is so good! Great use of the vertical scroll! I love the colors (or the lack of colors) it helped at to the dark and creepy feel. I like how his mother tried to save him from the monster in the beginning but then she started to turn into one. I feel like that could be symbolic of his mother trying to shield him from abuse previously (from his father) then being abused and becoming an abuser herself.

My tinfoil hat theory is that August Moon is actually a creation of Demeter. So hear me out. When Mason was comatose Demeter probably sat with him and told him stories. I think August is either a character created by Demeter or his old imaginary friend or something. But there's some connection there.
