I just wanna say, words are words. Just because it has a bad meaning in your area does not mean a word is bad in and of itself. Humans came up with vocalizations as communication for a reason - it's the intention, meaning, and way we use them that make them good or bad, not the words themselves. Just because a word is slang in one culture/generation does not mean everyone on the planet must then treat that word as taboo as well. Just as an example, we, as ARMY, get mad at new reacters when they hear our boys singing, hear them use the Korean words "naega" and "neega", and think they hear something terrible according to the western ear. But WE know it's not bad, they weren't saying what the listener thought, and that when they said those words, it was never meant to be rude, offensive, or otherwise. This holds true amongst English speaking languages as well. Just because YOUR culture/generation deems a specific word to be slang and foul, does not mean you can behave as though other cultures/generations whose languages include that word should also behave as such as well. Let's lighten up a bit about language, and stop dictating how others are allowed to speak. Words are words - the intentions behind them are what truly matter, and THAT is when we should speak up, when those words are used in a harmful way. But if they're not, learn to be grown up enough to just let that shit go. And the reason I included "generation" in what I said was because language is constantly evolving and changing. Meanings for words are fluid and always changing. What was normal yesterday may be the worst thing ever tomorrow - and the same vice versa. Some of what is considered common daily lingo was once some of the foulest things to ever be said. As such, you can't expect what you decided is a foul word to be respected and followed by others just because one day, YOU decided it was a bad word.
