Hi Landon! I too would like to recommend DKDKTV's "KPOP HISTORY in 20mins | From SeoTaiji to BTS". As other have mentioned, I too don't follow the channel anymore, but this is a good video if you want something quick but thorough. If you want something just as thorough but more indepth I would recommend bby gang's "you're wrong about k-pop: a video essay". Although it is a critical examination of another video, it explains "K-Pop" both now and it's history very well (I in fact recommend all his video essays). There is also a BTS docu-series called "Rise of Bangtan" that is currently ongoing that draws from many sources to give a brief history and explanation of "K-Pop" in the first few chapters while exploring BTS' history. I hope this is of help!
