Hello! Here's a summary of what I've been working on lately.

First of all, the cover image is a new addition to the HUD, originally, I was thinking of making something simpler that would only tell if the target was lying or not, but I think it would be much more entertaining and interactive if the player had to consider other factors and context to deduce if the girls are telling the truth or not.

Here it is animated, making more variations of these patterns takes time, so I may have to include the true/false clarification in the polygraph if I see that it slows me down with the rest of the stuff (for this update). After all, it's not so important right now, but it's something I'd like to include.

Among other things, I have been integrating other functionalities needed for the Mia scene, like timed questions and other gauges to visualize variables. Apart from that, the general HUD control should be simpler since now I can use a flat image and give it the perspective effect using the 3D functionalities of renpy, so in the future it will be easier to add more things and even tweak it to add more languages.

As for the next scene, here are a couple of sketches, I have to make a couple more of these and other variations as it is a somewhat extensive scene.


I hope to be able to animate them with live2d as I have planned, if I see that the result is of lower quality than my previous method I will use After Effects as usual. One of the problems of using AE is that with large scenes with many parts the program slows down too much, it already happened to me with Luna's animations last update, and these will certainly be more intricate.

I still don't have a specific date for the release of the update, I would like to promise that I will have it ready by the end of the month (the draft version), but it's better if I keep quiet, when I set a date, it always ends badly.

The draft version is a little bit shorter than the final one, not only because of the lack of animations, but because after Rea's scene there is another little scene which I'm going to reserve for the full release, this is to avoid spoilers and for the fact that I would like you guys to see that scene in all its glory when it's finished.


That's it for now, I'll get back to work, now that I know that the systems I wanted to integrate for this update work, I can continue without hurdles. Bye!
