Hi guys! I'm going to make a brief recap of what I've been doing.

In order to optimize the time in the future and because of the amount of images I was going to need from Rea's apartment, I ended up modeling it in SketchUp and rendering it in Lumion, which are tools I am used to working with in my architectural projects. Unlike Charastudio, I now have more control over the scene, whether it's adding objects and modifying the building itself, or controlling things like the FOV, light exposure and materials.

Rea's apartment is based on the Nakagin Capsule Tower building in Japan in case anyone was curious.

They don't look spectacular, but for Rea's scenes I always had to draw the backgrounds by hand and it took a lot of time, and now that it's a walkable environment, it made more sense to model it.

Understanding how to make you(mc) able to move through the environment took me a lot of time, and now looking back it wasn't so complicated, when I combine what I learned from the screens with a more intelligent use of validables I think I'll be able to make the encounter system that I wanted so much.

I still have to create an inventory system for this scene, honestly I'm biting more than I can chew, but if I don't implement it the work I did to make the room walkable will end up being a pointless gimmick.

That's it for now, maybe I'll start doing the encounter system sprites next, I will leave the coding for the masters for now...

Wow that's a pretty nifty solution, it looks great. I hope you don't burn yourself out trying to implement all of this. Looking forward to whatever you put out!!
