There wasn't as much of a delay as I was expecting, the last dev build of the recode is here! This is nearly the final build- all of the content should be fully functional and converted to the new systems. That includes two brand new scenes on Monday! One pred, one prey:

  • Eaten by Slate
  • Eat Penny

If you play this version, please make a save using the "Save to disk" option at the bottom of the save menu! In a day or two I'll be posting another version of the dev build for you to import it into as a test that I can properly add in missing variables to saves from old versions.

This is an unstable version of the game, so be aware that you may encounter bugs, dead ends, and unfinished scenes:

Out of curiosity, once this is all finished, will it be more or less difficult to add new scenes into these days from the polls now that you're not actively working on them/presumedly shifting focus back onto future days?

Good question! The recent poll scenes and new scenes I added with the recode were an important lesson in how tricky it can be adding new scenes to old content, since they can effect everything that happens after them. Going forward I might update the guidelines to set a hard limit on how far 'in the past' suggestions can be set, but at the very least I'll be more hesitant to approve a scene the further behind the currently worked on day it is.
