October Poll Results (Patreon)

The results are in, and Scene 2 is the clear winner for this month! Looks like Chandra will be getting another chance to shine, but I don't think she'll be happy about it ;) . Like last month, this one will be implemented alongside the recode!

This month I'm going to be trying out some changes to the way the scene poll works. Setting the start date the way I have been made sense to me conceptually, but in practice it's felt a bit awkward. In addition, a majority of the votes tend to come in within the first day or two and then things stagnate for the rest of the voting period. With that in mind, I want to make the following changes:

Polls will always start on the 25th of the month, regardless of what day of the week that is. Coincidentally, that happens to be the day it would have started anyway for November, but it will be different in the future!  ;^^

However, the poll for all of the scenes will now only last for three days, ending at midnight on the 28th. Once that period is over, a new poll will be posted featuring the top three scenes from the initial round of voting! With the number of scene suggestions increasing over time, I think it will feel better to split things up like this and give people a chance to vote on the finalists.

And finally, probably a less popular change, even as the recode's release is getting close and normal writing will be resuming, only the winning scene being put into the game is going to stay as the norm. With the time it takes to get an update out, I feel one a month is the best pace to keep up with the writing and avoid building a big backlog of scenes waiting to be implemented. In a way, I think slowing down the rate of suggestions also helps you guys, since you'll have more of the game to work with when coming up with ideas. I might still bring back the double winners for special occasions, but anticipate only the winner making it in in any given month.

Let me know your thoughts on all of these changes! They'll definitely be in effect for this month as a trial run, but everything is subject to be reverted depending on how you all feel.

PS: If you suggested one of the other scenes, feel free to keep it as your suggestion for November! In fact, I'll be assuming that's what you want to do until you give me a different suggestion. Reminder messages will be going out to those eligible shortly!
