And according to your votes last week the theme for the next contest is...

Making your own character for the Taifau Cafe world!

While similar to the other contest I think there's a bit more flexibility for this one, as it includes both humans and animals! Here's some of the cast for reference!

The judgement will be similar to the other contest, the quality of the drawing won't be anywhere near as important as the concept itself! Whichever entry I find to fit the most seamlessly with the established setting will be the winner, and of course there will be a 2nd place decided by voting as well!

(The following rules are the same as the other contest, so feel free to skip them if you already know them)

You are allowed to make a design based on another character, (for example, your own!) what won't be allowed are those based on pre existing franchises. No furry dog Mario!

There is also no limit for entries, however if you will upload more than 1 please specify which one would be considered the "main" one!

If you feel like your drawing does not fully capture what you were aiming for you are allowed to elaborate further through text! But said caption needs to be accompanied by an image.

You will have until May 15th to submit your entries! You need to do so through leaving a link to the image in the comments of this post, This is also open to all Patrons! So you don't need to worry about being in a specific Tier to enter.

The winners will get a digital or traditional drawing (Whatever you prefer!) of their choice alongside a special bonus that I don't have images of yet, but as soon as I do I will update you all on it!

The rest of the participants won't leave emptyhanded however, everyone who enters will get an entry of their choice for next month's poll! So potentially said poll could be the biggest one in terms of options lol... I will also be giv ng away 3 to 5 shikishi boards of the top characters from the special poll!

Once again I look forward to what you guys have in mind!! The entries for the other contest already surpassed what I imagined lol

No one is certain when or how Mr. Bishop got onto the island. The only thing that is certain: he and his goons are bad news! A very tall batman, he is quite antagonistic towards other treasure hunters, getting in their way, setting traps, and "accidently" activating long silent robots and machines. He does hire others to do his dirty work for him if his two henchmen arent enough. Bishop is very interested in the ruins, and what may lie at the deepest point of them, and will do anything to get there before anyone else. He is a good inventor, creating many gadgets and machines to do what he needs, even made his own prosthetic arm! Pen & Oovia Pen and his daughter Oovia came to the island a few years ago. He's a fisherman by trade and teaches kids, hoodlums, hookers, thieves and hoes. Anyone with a need to survive at no charge. Despite him knowing the island very well no one seems to know who he is. For someone trailed by an air of mystery he's not exactly the most reserved. Most poke fun at his loud bright orange coat and when they ask him why he wears it he simply responds "Easier to find my corpse out at sea" with a hearty laugh leaving Oovia in tears. Joaquin Jordano Joaquin is your run of the mill explorer who takes his life very casually. Buisy Boo

Introducing the Cheddar Catchers, a thieving duo that enjoys the art of thievery and cheese! Devi, also known as "CC" is a thief who terrorizes the art museums and dairy factories all over Taifau. During the day he's at the Taifau cafe, enjoying a cube of mozzarella cheese while downing the finest coffee. At night, he's making that sweet cheddar by stealing valuable art pieces and selling them in the underground black market. Mr. Bishop often hires their services to steal specific art pieces for his crime organization. Burglar Bot, also known as "BB" is a whole new beast. Developed from the scraps from the junk yard, BB only knows one thing: smashing everything Devi tells him to. BB is not quite like the other bots, he can't communicate very well and he acts more like a dog than a robot. Yumi is a dog who traveled from a far off land and has recently opened a confectionery shop on the island. She has trouble speaking the language but she tries her best. Usually she is seen outside of her shop sweeping away with her broom. However, Yumi is secretly a master of iaido. Her broom is actually the sheath to a blade! She may seem shy, but thieves beware! Buisy Boo

sub submission: Vergil, the bodyguard butler for the Peacock family. Stuck having to work for the Peacock family's daughter, he is often trying to keep Diana out of trouble. Diana, the youngest daughter of the family, is often very bratty and always gets what she wants. Since she enjoys hanging out at the beach, Vergil has to always be prepared for these situations with a pair of swimming trunks. Meet Wami! Wami was raised by a couple who lived as treasure hunters, and when she became a young adult she took after their children while they were looking for treasure. After the couple was lost in an accident, Wami adopted the children and decided to raise them as her own. She lives in Tempenn, making a living off of berries that she grows and the pastries she makes from them, effectively teaching the children how to do so as well. Wami has a great respect for treasure hunters, going so far as to prepare berry pouches for any daring adventurers preparing an expedition. This is Doppio A cocker spaniel with an unusual fur pattern. He is a local coffee farmer supplying his sublime coffee beans for use in local establishments' brewing and is the last of a generation doing things the old-fashioned way. He lives frugal lifestyle and refuses money for his supply. Donning novelty aprons with coffee-related puns received as gifts from over the years, he is extremely skilled in his work but absolutely clueless about pretty much anything that isn't farming coffee. He has a kind heart and will offer his scoops of his coffee cherries from his hat with his handy baseball glove to the local kiddos, even though most of them seem to hate it. They are taught to be respectful and accept them anyways. Having such wonderful crops means they are high value targets for shady businesses looking for cheap, high-quality beans. He will often have to defend them from sneaky stolen bots repurposed for thieving.
