Recent commissions - Wip sketches (Patreon)

I've been trying to study more and polish my workflow when I color! My goal is to make the shading process an improvement of the flat colors instead of just an addition. I've been looking at the way color and shading can enhance the weight of a part of the picture, or draw the eye around, and communicate emotion. On the other hand, I'm trying to abandon naturalistic lighting for something more theatrical and, well, fun!
It's all unexplored territory for me and it makes coloring a very insightful process! :)
