Qi rules for 5th edition D&D! (Patreon)
Content
I'm currently working on these rules with Emma Yasui, Drew Quon, and Liana Mackenzie! As always, you'll be the first to receive a free copy when they are completed! A variation of this ruleset will be a part of Wandering Blades!
That said, I'd love any feedback you folks have on these!

To better reflect the nature of qi in Chinese culture, this optional rule set allows characters from all classes to wield qi during their adventures, drawing on their inner energy to perform amazing feats.
Guidelines
All characters have a qi pool equal to their Proficiency Bonus + Wisdom or Constitution modifier (whichever is higher).
- Qi points stack with any ki gained from class features.
- Qi is fully restored after a long rest.
- You may use one qi ability per turn before Pushing Beyond Your Limits.
- Qi points replace the rules for inspiration.
Pushing Beyond Your Limits
If you would like to use more than one qi ability per turn, each subsequent ability costs an additional 2 qi points. For example, as a bonus action, you can use the Heroic Strike qi ability to maximize the damage of a single attack. When that attack hits, you can use the Focused Strike ability to make that a critical hit. Since Heroic Strike was already used this turn, Focused Strike costs an additional 2 points.
