If you follow me on social media, you might've noticed that I've been super busy with some freelance work that I've taken on. Wizards of the Coast recently announced the upcoming release of Candlekeep Mysteries, a hardcover book I'm proud to have worked on! I've also signed on to work on something (under NDA) huge that sits at the intersection of many passions - particularly contemporary Asian representation and action-oriented TTRPGs. While I've been working away at that, I've been trying to figure out how to best make progress on Chronicles of Spring & Autumn.

I think the initial scale to which I was working on the world was too large, therefore putting me in a creative slump. I enjoy highly detailed toolkits, and designing one for an entire socio-political region was simply too much. Inspired by the adventure I'm currently running for Level Up Gaming, I'm planning on scaling down everything into a small micro-setting centered around Old Dragon's Nest - a town at the center of the small, but mighty Yue Kingdom. This will be complete with interesting locations, NPCs, and of course, rumors for you to hook players into exciting adventures! Inspired by books like Trilemma Adventures and Sly Flourish's Fantastic Adventures, this will be a collection of short adventures that take place around a single location that can be ported into any campaign (a lesson I learned while working on Candlekeep)!

I'm excited for this new direction!

I only joined recently, but Asians Represent! has inspired me so much and now me and my friends are playing in a homebrew SEA setting. A year ago we were boxed in on premade modules/settings which did not resonate fully with us, but now we are having so much fun with our current world. :)) Looking forward to this new direction and I hope to be able to read more about Old Dragon's Nest !
