Monstrous Chinese Horses (OSR Monster Manual) (Patreon)
Content
I'm going to try spacing these out month to month, but these monstrous Chinese horses were too cool not to share! I'm making some changes to the stat block formatting to make these more applicable to those who might want to use these in D&D. Next month, I'll be making a PDF collection of a few monsters (with some art) available to Champion Supporters!
Enjoy!
Lushu
A lushu is a beast with a body similar in form to that of a horse. Its head is as white as snow, a sharp contrast to its tiger-striped body and read tail. Lushu can produce beautiful songs that resemble a human voice.

Boma (bo-horse)
Like the lushu, the boma is shaped like a horse. This creature, however, has a more fearsome appearance. Boma, or bo, have a white body, a black ox’s tail, piercing teeth, and a single horn atop its head. Instead of hoofs, the legs of a bo end with clawed paws like those of a tiger. It is said to be powerful enough to devour tigers and leopards. While a lushu’s call is like that of human folk music, the call of a boma sounds like cries of pain.
