Here's the winner of the poll!

I decided to put it in current time. I figured there might still be a royal family in Velvet city, but as with many royal families in modern countries they don't really wield any major power any more. Here's the princess following tradition and rewarding one of the people working for her!
I ended up painting a bit on top of the lineart on this one. Might be a better idea to go straight to painting if I want to do that, but I'm playing around and seeing if I can learn something.

I'll have a look at some of the other pics from the poll for the next update to see if I'll finish up some as sketches or make another finished piece from one of them. Stay awesome!
