Happy New Year (Patreon)

Although technically still Newyears Eve for me, I’m gonna go ahead and write this post before the Alcohol takes over. I just wanna say, 2022 was probably not a great year for the world. But, 2022 marked a LOT of progress for me personally in my art direction.

January 2022 was when I decided to finally learn Blender, so I could make my own characters and props. I learned Blender, and proceeded to make tons of characters and animations, learning a little with each new thing I made. I have learned so much this year about modeling, texturing, animating, sound editing, and even lighting and cinematography.

And I started this Patreon. Which has grown exponentially in the last month thanks to you guys. I never even expected it to get this big. I thought it’d be cool if I could make enough money to cover my own Patronage to other creators. But now it’s at the point where it’s a legitimate side gig for me, which is pretty fuckin’ cool. I’m thankful to each and every one of you for making that possible, and I’m working hard to make sure I continue to earn your support and be worthy.

I’m looking forward to all the projects I’ll be doing in 2023, whatever they end up being. And I hope I can continue to grow as an artist, I still have a lot to learn. In the future I wanna try to involve you guys a bit more, I know I put up some polls in the past, but it was kinda difficult to work with, I don’t think I was quite ready yet. But I’d love to hear opinions and what you guys would specifically like to see. I’m sure I’ll throw up another poll at some point, or find another, easier way to figure it out. Anyway.

I also wanna use the skills I’ve developed to revamp and modernize all my models, and get them all up to my new standards. And also upload more of them to the Mega so you guys can use them. Some of my older models need a bit of work to get them up to snuff. Fluid sim is also high on my list, I NEED to start adding cooom to my animations. I’m sure you all agree. I also wanna restructure my Ekas gallery a bit, so it’s less confusing, but that’s boring and irrelivant to art creation.
