This is obviously taking a while, it’s one of my most detailed models to date. Experimenting with new ways to make eyelashes (the way most people do them) and I’ll probably use a similar method for the fur tufts and probably the mane and tail. If it works out I’ll probably give all my models the new eyelashes and fur. I’m gonna keep making hair the same way though, because I like it. But my fur needs serious work.

This model has been interesting because I’m trying to make it more realistic, but also still cartoony and attractive, so finding a middle ground is important. Obviously all the proportions here are subject to changes, but in general this is her shape, she’s a Draft horse, so incredibly heavy and thicc, not like a regular horse. She’s also huge, about 9ft tall from the top of her head (I know horses aren’t measured that way.)

I’m gonna experiment with new material textures too, because I want her fur to actually look realistic and sleek, so that’ll require some experimentation, the old fur methods won’t cut it. As a result of all this new experimentation, this model is taking longer than usual to finish, but I’m hoping the end product will be well worth the wait.

I'm looking forward to seeing her complete. If you're looking for some inspiration, I recommend tracking down the guy who did Nala's face in The Lion King. Her adult sexy face, not her as a cub. I'm not a freak.

I don't judge. People who live in glass houses and all, lol. What do you mean track him down though?

I'm certain he has some drawings of how to make horses look sexy...plus I'm sure he's in a basement somewhere. I was gonna say try watching a DreamWorks movie called Spirit, but we've all seen Lion King, so it's more direct. All in all, I'm curious to see how you design her.

This is looking great I'm excited

Well I found his name, but after searching for like 15 minutes I can find literally nothing except the wikipedia article and a couple images (Literally a couple) of some of his characters like Nala, aladdin, etc. Got anything specific?

I believe you hit the middle ground of it being "realistic" but also attractive in a cartoony sense, the big eyelashes help ^^

After looking at the VHS tape, I can highly recommend looking up Spirit Stallion of Cimarron. There's a female horse in the movie that is still gorgeous.
