I sorta realized recently that most of my anthro models are shit. Especially close up. Mainly due to the textures, but also due to the mesh itself being generally un-detailed with bad topology. I wanted to remedy this by making an entirely new anthro head from the ground up.
Turns out it looks pretty similar. But, it has vastly improved topology.
Part B of this project is Substance painter. Which I've used for the first time to create a fur map without those seams like the old models. It's tedious and time consuming, and Substance painter does not work well with Blender. But it is good for some things, if you can work around the shittyness and incompatibility. The clothing textures are also done in Substance painter, it's good for stuff like that.
