With Patreon's update to their site, it's very confusing looking through the notifications since it's just one long list with nothing to differentiate each notification.

I'm praying that they correct this very soon. I've been inundating their feeds and support tickets with the request to change this. Please everyone who is impacted by this communicate your dissatisfaction with this new UI so that they can hopefully get something done about this.
