Tiki Tak Bosses - Discussion - Selected Candidates (Patreon)

So! For November, i shall be doing a little or.. well "big" story featuring the Tiki Tak Tribe Members, however this one will be focusing solely on the 7 instruments/bosses from the game, so there will be 7 Girls afflicted by these instruments. Each gal will be treated as a Boss in a way and will have some comic panels showing off their actual skills in battle until they are freed from their trance in said comic.

The numbers indicate the order of the bosses, as well as the spots available for the gals who will be involved. Though for sure i have a few ideas for who could occupy which space, i really wanna see want the big majority wants to see for this story. As it will not only pay attention to detail in how the girl fights, but will also be the focus of the story during their segment. As all, there are favorites, so i wanna know who should be these iconic 7 to be hypnotized into being some fun little boss fights~

With that said, i'd like you all to comment here which girl, the reason why she should be for said boss and just a thought about it. The more detail put into your comment, the best it will be for me on the recieving end, and therefor i'd grant it a little more weight into the selected character. I'll be sharing this in Discord as well, but Patreon member's input will be overall the most important.

So the first boss is named Kalimba, which is the one i drew with Cynder the last time. Do comment which gal should be Kalimba's Guardian/Puppet!

Kalimba is based on a Mbria, which is an African percussion instrument that's a wooden board with sharp metal prongs. I will suggest Riley since she is metallic and flat as a board.

Multiple ideas: Freya: Freya’s face is, in a way, dominated by two colors (orange skin blond hair). Kalimba’s body consists of 2 colors, so perhaps Freya would match this (and i feel kalimba’s headband would also look nice on her head) Bonnie: this one’s a stretch, but bonnie’s ears *kinda* resemble the tines on an actual kalimba Miley: Miley’s tail can also kinda work with the color idea (altho she might work better with wacky pipes but WE GET THERE WHEN WE GET THERE) Glaze: her tail and ears also resemble a kalimba’s tines, so their color can be changed to match em. I also feel this kinda design would work even better if her face and overall body are changed to KK’s red and blue I MIGHT COME UP WITH MORE IDEAS LATER HANG IN THERE CHAT

Gong-Oh pairs up with Bonnie. He needs someone with a firm and ample booty to bang his gong with MAXIMUM POWER to make sure his spell rings out strong and true.

More ideas in general for the other tiki’s: I said before that Miley would prolly work better with wacky pipes, this is cuz pipes’ feathers and colors would match miley’s tail, plus this is just a personal preference, but i feel her hair would work with a lotta feathers 100% agree with the bonnie gong-oh idea lel Lydia would probably work well with banjo bottom, she just seems like the kinda gal to prefer the hypnotic guitar of all instruments lel Either Riley or Suzie and Melissa would work well with the maraca gang cuz multiple matching people Plus, i think vero would go well with the maracas. Imagine a maraca attached to every single one of her tails ehehehe

Hmmm, I've got a few ideas. I'm just gonna go ahead and spew them out. The first boss is Kalimba, based on a Kalimba, or according to wikipedia also known as Mbira. Kalimba is presented as a sort of leader to the tribe (not including Tiki Tong) despite being the first you face. There's also the boss Kalimba... possesses? I think that's the right term. Mugly. From what I remember, I got the impression he's a bit dimwitted and lax, not caring in the slightest of DK and Diddy's appearance until he's forced to via Kalimba's hypnosis. Lydia is the most laid back, and Danna and Karla can be dimwitted (granted, in a different way) but I feel there are other better options for Kalimba. Hmm, the tribe does give off an ancient aesthetic, Kalimbas do have ancient history, perhaps Marcy would be a good option or Takara based on her in-game species being ancient. Hmm, Kalimba is the most well known member of the tribe, so perhaps one of the most popular gals like Kelly, Bonnie, or Glaze. I'd say Glaze and Bonnie fit different tribe members better so that leaves Kelly, but I feel like that's just me being biased since Kelly's my favorite. IDK to be honest, this is a really hard decision.

The maraca gang! it does seems like it was MEANT for a three headed character like Riley. Im leaning towards that one for Maraca

I think Takara would be a good fit for Xylobone. Since he's clearly a pun on Skeletons using their ribs as a Xylophone and Takara is part ghost type both themes of death would go well together.
