Mermaid Tears (Patreon)

This month's theme is OYSTERS!

I fell into a really interesting research hole this month. I learned about how there's a Japanese myth that tells about pearls being formed from the tears of mermaids. I also learned about the flowers that taste like oysters! It's called an oysterplant, or sea bluebells.

One of the things I really, really miss about the Before Times is going out to eat oysters with my girlfriend. Going to an oyster bar was something we'd do on birthdays or our anniversary or while traveling (especially in Seattle), or just because! It's a nice mini-luxury, y'know?

I miss oysters :(

I'll be able to go to an oyster bar again some day. Until then, the November theme is oysters. (But don't be surprised if the theme becomes oysters again before we're allowed out of the house......)
