Here's a look at my 2019 art journey! This year, I started freelancing full time. It's been the best decision of my life, and I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it a reality!

I started the year not too sure of myself, trying to pry open my brain and force myself to push my boundaries. February was when I first started accepting commissions and threw myself into a series of illustrations from anyone who would have me.

March highlights one of my favorite Zodiacsona pieces of the year, and I can't wait to look back on 2019 and the start of my art career and pay complete thanks to astrology.

By the spring, I was taking on new contract work that would help support my art career. It was a hectic time and I was impatient to find stability. I have Women Who Code to thank for a lot of my work! (They're featured here in May, July, and August.)

I made 0 illustrations in June. I worked solely on Millennial Lesbian, and I'm so glad I did. Looking at it now, I'm fond of the stories that were shared with me, that I then got to share with you all. It feels rushed, it feels new, it feels exactly perfect for the first comic book I've ever made. I'm happy to be sharing it now and forever. Every time I send a copy to someone, every time I hear from people who read it, how much it means to them, I just get so choked up!!

By the end of the year here, I started doing illustrations for myself again, which is beautiful. What I didn't really feature here is all the comics I've been making along the way for publications like Autostraddle, POME, and Dirty Diamonds! By the end of 2019, I'll have 6 comics on Autostraddle, I'll have work in over 5 anthologies, and I'll have completed my travel comics for POME.

(Don't even get me started on all the merch designs I've made! Most of which I did in October alone, as a rush job for Kumori, my first ever 3-day convention.)

I'm so happy to have started my art career this year. It's exactly what I've always wanted to do.

I'm glad to have this Patreon. All the support from you all has really boosted my confidence and encouraged me to keep going. Thank you! Thank you a million times!!

I can't wait to see where we go in 2020.
