Happy friday everyone! :)

I’ve been a busy bee working on some sketches and I wanted to show you some sneak-peeks! 🐝 It’s been a while since I painted a mini comic scene and I really missed drawing them, so I’m painting a little scene inspired by strangers making eye contact on a train :) Can you sense the k-drama vibes? 👀💕

I’m screen-recording the painting process of the mini comic for a real-time process video! I’ll continue working on the comic today and share the video with you soon 🥰

The other sketch I’m working on is some pose practice with perspective! The foreshortened one is a pose I’ve never drawn before and it was soooo weird to sketch at first! 🙈 but I want to get more comfortable drawing extreme perspectives on characters :)

Goals I want to explore this month:

Digital watercolor! I’ve been wanting to get back into painting with watercolor digitally for a while now and I’m thinking of filming my process for you guys since I’ve gotten lots of questions about it recently :)

I also want to do more scene studies! I really love studying movie scenes because it’s a fun way to practice mood, feeling, and emotion in characters with their environments. So you’ll probably see more of that this month too ☺️ Are there any movies you’d like to see me study?

I can’t wait to dive into a new month with you!! 😍 Let’s make it a fun one 🥰 Do you guys have any goals this month? 🤍

Love,

Lydia 💌

The K-Drama vibes are immaculate. My goals for this month are getting better at lighting and skin rendering.

Soo pretty!! Hmm it's really different from your usual style but I think it'd be fun to do a spiderverse movie scene study since they're so stylish
