You’re so right lol! While both hyunsik and Minhyuk care about getting songs to their exact liking, hyunsik definitely particularly pays attention to musical technicality and is a perfectionist that way, where Minhyuk directs more so on vibes lmao.

Hyunsik is more strict with details and Minhyuk directs with the feels more. A lot of times the recording takes a lot of time and it's unlikely that they finish the song fast like this. They do have touch ups on the proceeding days just like when Eunkwang and Minhyuk had a sudden change of pitch for Alone (Show Your Love album-BTOB 4U), Peniel had to redo his part in a higher pitch. They had a recording vid for that on Beatcom. I think Eunkwang is also so sensitive with the tune when he's helping with directing the recording especially during the blending of diff voices and their harmony.

Omg! I can’t wait for the reaction to Changsub “Mark” Album is such a good one! Lots of live stages fo sure! I love the studio version but for some reason the vibe of the lives is soooo good! Peniel on the other hand doesn’t have an album but lots of really AMAZING singles. Let me know if you need the names I got you! ☺️☺️

just adding to what the others have said, sungjae was once asked the difference between hyunsik and minhyuk’s directing and he said that hyunsik is very detailed that he even has an expectation for how the breath should sound while minhyuk lets the vocalists do it in their own styles (so when minhyuk directs they finish faster hahaha). and speaking of, even when the two direct for other groups they’re mostly the same haha hyunsik is strict and minhyuk is more relaxed and free XDD like, the group whom hyunsik directed said that hyunsik was so detailed that they couldn’t help but respect and look up to him while the group minhyuk directed said that minhyuk knew what their strengths were and that he felt like a close hyung! also agree to the previous comments! hyunsik is more particular of the sound he wants while minhyuk is more particular about how each line is expressed. which is why hyunsik focuses on technique and minhyuk focuses on the beat and pronunciation. it’s pretty cool! very characteristic of them as vocalist and rapper, right?
