I will never get tired of hearing this song. And thank you for recognizing that jimin is special. I’m so proud of him, because he’s worked SO hard to get to this point. I don’t know how much non-music bts content you consume, but he has spoken a few times in interviews about what a rough start he had. He was the last trainee to join, months before debut. He wasn’t given vocal lessons, but begged to sit in on JK and V’s lessons and then practiced by himself later. He didn’t feel like part of the team, he struggled to adapt his contemporary dance training and lighter vocal timbre to BTS’s early hiphop concept, and management told him 8 times that he was on the verge of being cut before finally deciding at the last minute to let him debut. Even afterwards, Suga has talked about how he would find Jimin crying before or after performances because of how deeply insecure he was, and how he would do his best to encourage him. Still, Jimin struggled with his voice for years, unhappy with his perceived lack of vocal control. He is a perfectionist, and is very hard on himself. And of course, there’s been his ongoing struggles with body image (like a lot of dancers, he has a bad habit of starving himself…), the disproportionate amount of hate he gets from antis, the death threats… and I just don’t get it, because he is probably the kindest, most affectionate, and most empathetic member of bts. How could anyone hate him? So yeah. Bit of a rant, I apologize. It just makes me so happy to see Jimin shine, because there is no one who deserves it more. 💜
