aug rewards wip! + housekeeping news (Patreon)

Hihi Patrons! Just wanted to share the sketch for the upcoming Aug/Sept rewards! The theme is underwater city and the rewards will be a 4x6 postcard and bonus vinyl sticker! I def felt very inspired by seeing all the cool Splatoon fanart that's been floating around Twitter lately~ My partner was playing the Splatoon 3 beta this weekend and looking at the incredible city environment really got my gears turning *___*

✿ Some housekeeping news: next month I'll be pausing my Patreon - this means you won't be billed for September. 

Anyone who joins that month will also be receiving August rewards! 

✿ I decided to take September off in order to work on the Aug rewards and the next shop update! The past few months have been a hectic catch up after falling behind from Patreon rewards while having to freelance full-time for a month to pay vet hospital bills, run my plush campaign and create the shop update. I'm *incredibly* grateful for the support I've had from everyone during this time. Thank you SO much for making my livelihood this year possible. 

Looking back, it is honestly surreal I've been able to survive in LA of all places while doing mostly my own art these past 8 months. Due to life's lemonades, I know I haven't been the most on time with Patreon rewards. But I really do put my whole heart into designing every!! little!! illustration!! And I hope that love shows. It hadn't really hit me until recently how stressful things have been, now that life has finally started to stabilize. Lately, I am living, loving, laughing - as corny as that sounds, and it's been really wonderful! :-') 

✿ From mid-September to early October I'll be on vacation! The first part is for a family wedding and the second part will be a 10-day stay in South Korea! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly T___T It's my first time planning my own vacation so looking into overseas travel requirements and itinerary planning has been a very new adulting experience for me haha~ 

✿ Starting in November, I'm potentially returning to a full-time job in animation again. So... I felt going on vacation before being locked into another 1.5 years of work (and overtime) was very necessary. While I'm honestly nervous to take a month's break (especially financially), it's important for me to let myself breathe and reset. Burnout is very real, and I want to enjoy making art and living life for as long as I can!
