This week I began scripting Bianca's Diary proper. I've written the dialogue and scripted the events until about the halfway point. The majority of Bianca's story is going between her house in Mor Town and the Cliffside Library. I find that going back and forth through these locations is rather tedious (especially since many of us have done this trek several times by now in repeated playthroughs)!

While Bianca does go back and forth between the two locations, I've made it so that scenes often  cut to the next location. For example, in one scene Bianca will say she is going to the library and then it will cut to her being there. The only exception is the first hike to the library and the final one. I feel that this change will make scenes better flow into each other.

While exploring Bianca's story, I also wanted to take advantage of this story taking place before the main game and flesh out another character:

I had been told by many that Iris' character wasn't fleshed out enough before she ultimately met her fate. She felt like a bit of a throw away. There's not much more I can do with her in the main story anymore, so I decided to have Iris as a recurring character in Bianca's story. This way I can hopefully add more to her character and make her feel more meaningful. The exchanges between Iris and Bianca have been fun to write.

There is still work to be done in this prequel world. NPCs for example, have not been updated and still speak the way that they always do. I'm likely going to update what they say and their placement in Mor Town once I have finished scripting the entirety of Bianca's Diary.

Things are continuing to move along at a good pace!
