I stepped into the room. A giant circular room filled with red candles and blood everywhere, the floor was littered with hundreds of broken bones. While there were dozens of skeletons walking around that all turned to me the moment I stepped inside.

It was at this moment that a window had appeared in front of my eyes.

                ----{Gphyl, Lord of the Crypt}-----

A mad necromancer who sealed himself inside of a crypt to continue his research, with treasures he collected he lured in adventurers and used their corpses for experiments.

His powers have faded after a long time. Yet his necromancy is still powerful.

Dozens of skeletons. In the middle of them was one that wore a dull gold crown adorned with jewels with chainmail wrapped around the back of his head, on his body was a plate chesplate with pauldrons along with plate gauntlets, and on his waist was a long chainmail skirt that reached all the way down to his feet. His neon ruby-red eyes seemingly dug into my soul.

There was no fucking way in hell I was going to win this. Not one chance. I nearly got packed up by 10 what makes this dungeon think I can take on 60? Not to mention Gphly's power-lich-looking ass in the middle.

But as I turned to run away, a wall of bones had covered the entrance. No choice then. Mace in hand I sprinted toward the lich but when he saw me doing that he pointed his finger toward me.

Immediately all the hairs on my body stood up, it was such a simple and relaxed gesture but my instincts went haywire. With desperation, I jumped to the side.

As I did so a red-black ball of violent energy the size of a basketball converged on the Lich's fingertip and shot out like a bullet. The spot where I stood prior got hit by the spell, and with a loud bang, the floor shattered.

'Gandr'

I recalled the spell. A basic rune-based curse that was supposed to be relatively weak. It is supposed to drain your vitality and deliver a relatively weak physical impact unless you use the Finn shot version.

Considering just the physical impact is so strong, getting hit by that means death most likely. At least there is a brief moment where the spell is telegraphed I can use that.

Just as my thoughts came to an end skeletons started swarming me as the Lich watched. Some wielded weapons, and I twisted my body constantly trying to avoid the knives and swords. Yet I couldn't dodge all of them as cuts and light stabs started affecting me.

Tensing my legs I rammed out of the encirclement as I charged at the Lich once more, looking for the telegraph intently as I prepared to dodge. But this time the lich raised his staff and pointed at me.

Dark green smoke formed into a ball at the tip of his staff before shooting out toward me, I rolled away but as the ball hit the ground, instead of breaking the ground it exploded into a cloud of smoke.

Unfortunately, I was also in the range of the cloud. And the moment the green fumes touched me I felt like my skin was burning off of my body. One breath and it felt like my lungs were shitting themselves. My open wounds were irritated.

Just touching the smoke robbed me of my vitality at a rapid rate so putting as much power as I could into my legs I leaped out of the cloud.

But just as I got out of the first cloud he sent another one right after. The noxious fumes burnt my whole body and reduced my health directly. This was bad.

'With his D+ ranked mana he can probably do this until I die. I need to take cover so that the smoke won't reach me.'

Holding my breath this time I leaped away from the crazed necromancer and went behind a pillar before unclipping a health potion from my belt and chugging it down. My vitality slowly started to come back to me as the effect of the potion started taking place.

I only have 5 potions on me, now 4 since the stingy system didn't give me an inventory. I knew saving them until now was a good idea, thank you hoarder mentality.

Thankfully, in some of the random chests I found littered around the crypt, there were health potions that rapidly restore your vitality/lifeforce. But just as I had downed the potions I heard a loud blast as I felt blunt force trauma pay a friendly visit to my back.

It took me a split second to register that Gphyl had used one of his super Gandr's to blast apart my cover, and blow my back out in the process. Worse was that his boneheaded goons had surrounded my pillar as I was chugging my potion.

I turned around just in time to see the motherfucker charging another Gandr. At this point, I was fed up with the range abuse bullshit so I charged at the Necromancer, and just as the Gandr left his fingertip I lifted a light-bone boy by the throat and chucked him at the curse.

The curse collided with the skeleton and blasted it apart before dissipating while I kept charging. Soon after Gphyl released another Gandr toward me, I grabbed another undead but wasnt fast enough to throw it so I used it as a meatshield as the Gandr exploded and sent me crashing into a pillar.

My whole body shook from the impact, my ears rang and my lungs burnt.

But even as I crashed into the pillar I had a smirk on my face.

All according to plan.

I may be retarded but I am not nearly retarded enough to throw myself against a necromancer over and over again with seemingly no plan. Although I had come up with this plan on the fly upon seeing my advances didn't work it still was successful.

Seeing the notification and feeling my senses expand I pushed off the ground with all my might and resumed sprinting at Gphyl. He was surrounded by 10 skeletons warriors as bodyguards.

'Switch: On!'

The warm and painful current surged through my veins as my circuits were activated.

"{Reinforcement!}" Shouting the aria I tried flooding the blade in my hands with my od as faint and unstable green lines started trying to appear on the blade, yet I felt resistance.

Uncaring of the resistance I pushed my meager od into the blade, reinforcing it as violently shaking green lines appeared all over it. It was unstable but it only needed to last a few swings anyway.

I saw the necromancer raise his finger before a basketball-sized Gandr appeared before my eyes as the world turned to slow motion. With a mix of intense focus and runners' high, I brought the blade above my head and swung down.

With all my might I forcefully cut the Gandr in half as my muscles ached and tore from the strain but my sprint didn't slow down as I kept going.

Another Gandr, I swung my sword upward like an uppercut, batting the curse away. The distance between us was narrowed but the sword was reaching its limit.

After parrying another Gandr the sword exploded in my hands, but I was so close. Yet I couldn't reach him, I could see it in the Necromancer's eyes it was gloating as his goons grabbed my legs, waist and left arm trying to keep me down.

At the bleakest moment, I remembered something I should be theoretically capable of.

And if there was any time to turn theory into reality it was now.

His gloating didn't last long as the smirk returned to my lips. I stretched my free right arm toward Gphyl and pushing my circuits and imagination to the limit I drew several lines in the air. And mouthed the words.

"{Ansuz}."

The lines turned into a volatile small ball of flame on my fingertip, closing one eye I aimed and released the spell. And a bullet of flame was shot out.

The bullet of flame wasnt that strong but neither was Gphyl's durability. Leaving behind a trail of embers flew and...

Pierced through Gphyl's eye socket and blew out the back of his skull.

"Bullseye."

Thanks for the chapter 😁

Greekfirefly

Hey so I’m the stats you say the lich has Mana of C quality but then later you say it only has mana of D+ quality. Just wondering which one is right.
