Jolxea Gets Toyed With (Extended Edit) (Patreon)

Heyo! This month's "short edit" is actually longer than the finished animation (that's how it be sometimes). In the link below you'll find a 3:25 runtime animation of my OC Jolxea getting toyed with by a cave troll or something. Presented in 4k 60fps from about 7 camera angles, as well as some raw frame images (i.e. as it came off the render engine). It may look a little stiff but that's because there's only actually 2-3 seconds of movement to work with here. There is a story behind that...

So, back in the fall of 2022 Chopped Onions asked if I had a longer version of an animation I did a few years back (Jolxea + Green Troll), which originally started as a 2 second gif. As it turned out I had rendered out 7 or so camera angles but never made a long/final edit out of it all. The catch, is that I had only keyframed about 108 frames (i.e. about 2-3 seconds of actual movement). So, a very short animation from many different angles. The challenge then was how much could I squeeze out of 108 frames from 7 cameras? As it turns out, I can turn that into 3 minutes and 25 seconds. 

I spliced and diced in the editor, added voice assets from the voice actress who plays Jolxea that I had on the shelf, and most importantly, Chopped Onions was kind enough to sponsor a few new fun lines from her. I am very grateful for that and this was a fun little exercise to go through. 

Anyways, I hope you enjoy it, and I should note that there were two more sets that patrons sponsored extra Jolxea lines for, which I expect to do the editing for in the near future (Jolxea Ground and Pound + Jolxea Mushroom BJ).
