Bio:

  • Original
    • Basically, imagine Hansel and Gretel but there was only one kid and the witch's house was a dragon carcass. And then that kid kinda ate dragon organs because he was starving. That's Original Thomasyn. He was a character I made for a D&D game I played in several years ago now and he uh. He spawned some offshoots. In the continuity of that D&D game, dragon organs (and hearts in particular) contained a loooot of magical energy that would warp a human's being, so he was slowly turning into a dragon. I've drawn a couple doodles of him when he was older and a little further along in his transformation, though those technically aren't canon.
  • Nytoasverse
    • Shares having eaten dragon organs with his original counterpart. He was living alone outside the walled city the Nytoas story takes place in, and his parents had either died due to illness previously or were killed in the disaster that lead to him eating parts of a dragon carcass. (I still haven't really decided). The disaster, well, felled a dragon and also cut him off from any aid that could traverse the area near his home, so in his desperation he ate the dragon.
    • Eventually he was able to get help and make his way to the walled city, and, upon finding his strength and magical abilities had increased due to the dragon he'd eaten, joined the city's guard force that helped defend it from supernatural threats. After many a battle against stronger and stronger foes, the general public began considering him a "hero" and he was celebrated.
    • Unfortunately, it doesn't end at that. While he had adjusted unusually well to the abilities the dragon flesh had conferred upon him, "well" is relative. Most people die after eating dragon flesh. His body was slowly breaking down over time, and battle after battle had taken a toll on his mental state. He deteriorated to a point where it was hard for him to self-advocate, and at that point a deal he'd made with a shady corporation came into play.
    • His death was faked and what was left of his body was taken into the corporation's custody. From then on they used his genetic material to create half-clones of him- an attempt to replicate his formidable abilities with fewer of the downsides. They eventually somewhat succeeded, but the test subjects went rogue and escaped their  facility.
    • He was still alive through all of this, albeit in a state of cryo-sleep. Occasionally he would be awoken so the company could collect fresh genetic material.
    • The half-clones created with his DNA eventually rescued him from his predicament, and a medicine was developed to restrict his draconic abilities and restore some of his health.
  • 2
    • A baby with draconic lineage was abandoned, and taken in by a couple of butlers.
    • The child was raised and trained in the butlerly arts, though it eventually became clear that the baby was much better at fighting than being a butler.
    • The child, now an adult, was given a chance by his parents to go out and seek his fortune as an adventurer.
    • (Was also made for a DND game)
  • Thomas
    • Just some IT worker who got turned into a half dragon one day during a mass TF event at his office. Unlike the others he actually has a relatively normal relationship with his birth parents.

Extra:

  • Dragons in the Nytoasverse are beings of pure magic that absorb traits of things around them at the moment of their birth, not necessarily the standard "big scaly vaguely reptilian thing" that most people think of (though there are some that look like that). As one might expect, consuming something made of pure magic is usually bad for your health.
  • Both original and 2's clases were Barbarian.
  • The half-clones view Nytoasverse Thomasyn as either a parent or some kind of weird uncle. Thomasyn feels bad about this- he thinks he's ill-equipped to be a parental figure for any of them and despite being responsible for their existence he was never able to defend them from what the corporation put them through.
  • There actually is a fifth Thomasyn I made for an upcoming DND game but I haven't included him because he's still somewhat ill-defined. He is a feral art student and he looks like this:
