I’m lying in bed rn and was about to turn in for the night when I realized something. I’ve officially been a full-time illustrator for 1 year as of this month.

Im amazed I got this far, and it’s very humbling. My work may not be orthodox, but with it I’ve been able to sustain my family and pay the bills. My mom hasnt been able to work since the pandemic due to her health and for a while I was a bit worried, honestly...but thanks to you all those worries have been able to fade. I know I’m young still so trying to provide for not just myself but my mom as well is sorta scary. Well, it should be, and yet here I am. You all fill my heart with pride and passion, the both of which keep me going and keep me striving higher.

I know that the past year‘s been hard on a lot of people, but I really couldnt have taken the plunge without my life getting thrown upside down a few times. I don’t know if this is annoying or sappy when I say it every so often but you all really have no idea how grateful I am to be blessed with your support. I know a lot of people have it rough these days...I‘ve seen a lot of people leave for financial reasons, a really heartbreaking amount, honestly. I know it’s been much worse than my lil slice of the world could even show properly. It’s cruel that this past year has helped me when so many people, even my own family, were ruined by it...but I’m grateful all the same.

I hope to continue to create art for you all and hone my craft along the way. If not for myself, then for you as a sign of gratitude. Truly if anyone deserves the best work I can give, it’s the person reading this letter right now.

When I’m sleep deprived I get a bit rambly. Idk if anyone’s gonna bother reading this or not honestly.
