I dont know how many of you will care or find this interesting but i almost exclusively painted these with an airbrush. I found a way to modify the settings for the soft airbrush i usually use for lighting layers, and it made it into a cool circular brush that was remarkably useful. I think it helped me push the shading/rendering a bit further than normal. Might do it more often.
