As you can possibly see - the fur looks different here compared to some more of my recent paintings. That's because I discovered a much better brush for doing fur texture last spring while doing Dogbomb1's portrait. I've been using it ever since! Before that, I had to do my best with a more basic brush and smudge tools. It has it's own distinctive style, but I prefer my new method. It's faster, looks better (in my opinion) and causes way less headaches.
