A good Friday to everybody, Jérémie here!

Today I am going to show you some new features that were added to the Paramaker in the last three months since we released the Paramaker video. Even though our development focus at this time is on the live mode, we wanted to show you today a few of the important or essential improvements we made to the Paramaker before switching our focus. These new functionalities and improvements were made based on the internal testing we did within the team after the Paramaker showcase video and they only represent a small portion of all the tweaks, fixes and additions we will make to the game in the future, before or after its release.


Improved Thumbnails

One thing that we wanted to correct was the inability to quickly see in the Paramaker the color or pattern of a piece of clothing your character had on them. Indeed, in our first version if you had a shirt that is by default black and you had selected the ‘red’ version, the thumbnail would still be black and only by hovering the item with your mouse would you see the selected red color swatch.

It is now much easier to see the actual piece of clothing our Para has on them and it feels much better to see the thumbnail change as you hover different swatches as well!


Easily Remove Clothes and Accessories

We wanted to have a way to remove clothing on our character without having to find the specific sub-category for everything. We also wanted to allow the player to remove, for instance, all their jewelry with one single click, without having to go in all the sections of the catalog to look for their items. Our solution was to add a little X button that appears when you hover category labels, clicking it will remove all items from that category, no matter what sub-category they are a part of!

Clicking the red X button will remove all equipped Tops on our Para, no matter if they are fancy, casual, or a coat


List Improvements

The list of items was improved as well. In our previous iteration, selecting a top level category (such as Tops or Bottoms) would merely show an empty list and the player would have to click on a sub-category in order to see its contents. Now instead we show all the items contained in that top level category, ordered and positioned in such a way that any items on your Para will be visible in the list of items.

If you just want to equip a shirt and feel like browsing them all in one go, you’ll be able to with our improved lists!


Tattoos Improvement

Having to remove your Para’s clothes when you want to put tattoos on them would be quite bothersome, so we have improved the Paramaker to allow certain categories to temporarily put your character in their underwear, letting you place tattoos without having to fuss with going back and forth in different menus. When you leave that category, the clothes are put back on.

Placing tattoos through Sebastian’s coat isn’t that easy, with this improvement it can be done without requiring any extra actions from the players!
