November Draw Collection (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

So Weekend With Yuka has been out for a little bit, have you gotten a chance to read it? I'm still very proud of it but I took a small drawing break to relax for a while and I'm trying to do some art study before I jump back into another project. I figured I could share a collection of drawings I have on hand that haven't been shared yet.

Mariel and I just tabled at Anime Expo Chibi and I was scrambling to get some new things made in time, which ended up being the Marin and Handler prints. I also had the idea for a Tomb Raider thing back when I was really going heavy on the sticker production and I tried a few things but none of them really worked for me in a way that I felt like I'd be happy with owning if I was the consumer. I also wanted to draw some other things like Metal Slug and Berserk but I really just couldn't brainstorm anything I was happy with and only sketched out the Tomb Raider stuff in a shareable manner.

I sketched this Yuka as a concept for a bonus illustration that was going to go in the back of WWY, it was going to be Yuka and Ren picking clothes and getting dressed for the hockey game at the end of the book. I was already running out of creative juice since I was hustling to finish the book itself so I didn't get to draw an illustration at all. It would be nice to get something in a print version though, either a drawing by myself or a guest illustration from some people? I haven't thought too much about it at the moment.

I also drew this Scarlet as The Rock for halloween, you probably saw it on social media. It felt good to draw her again but it's not her time back in the spotlight just yet. What I think I want to do next is to draw out more of my Bumpers comic ideas I've collected over time and I've been trying to get back to drawing Frankie again. A lot of the drawings of her are in my sketchbook but I'm trying to practice a hair shape that feels more consistent to me, and I have a few digital doodles of her I tossed off. I think I want to do a new icon for my socials with her on it but I'm still trying to figure out what type of drawing I want it to be.

Lastly, I doodled this Bocchi from Bocchi the Rock, an anime that's a bit of a guilty pleasure. I have to admit that I still have fond memories of enjoying K-On when it first came out and Bocchi feels like a more modern and funnier version of it (and also has some of its moe faults...) but I've been enjoying what the studio has done with the story so far, the animators really go wild when it comes to Bocchi's imagination.

That's all for now! Since it's a bit of a slow moment for ideas, I think maybe its a good time to take requests or suggestions. If there's any series or characters you'd want to see me draw or make into merch, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it. I've been getting into some older games like F Zero GX and Parasite Eve recently so I want to scribble some things related to that, but nothing to show just yet!
