Bumpers - Karate Frankie (Patreon)

I've got a new comic for you all!

Mariel and I have this world I'm sure I've mentioned it here plenty of times before that I have this fictional city called Bumpers that I want all my characters with no supernatural elements to exist in, which primarily means Ami, Frankie, Yuka, and Ren. I've drawn some old comics with Ami and Frankie that I quickly was unhappy with and put them on the backburner while I started Red Muscle but I've started to feel that it would be ok for them to exist primarily for comedy and not need some emotionally impactful story.

I got the idea recently that I want to put together a small zine that I can use as a sampler to my comics and give it out at cons. This is the first one of a list of about 40 ideas I've been collecting over the years, and not all ideas are created equal, there's plenty of short one pagers too. I'm aiming to have a small collection of maybe 10 different jokes assembled into one minicomic, but we'll see how many I can power through before I tap out.

This specific joke was based on the idea that if I ever get to make my own smash game, I would put Frankie in it as a shoto character with fireballs and karate moves and I wanted to canonize that in some way, so here's Frankie thinking she can be an amazing fighter just because she knows how to do some moves in a video game.
