Piercing Heaven (Sketch, High Res Download) (Patreon)

Well friends, I didn't get the line art done for this month, so next month you'll get the double whammy. But I hop you'll accept this high res download of the sketch for this period's illustration.

I like how I wanted to draw a giant robot, and still ended up with a human focal point. Haha! 

Anyway, I'm really excited about Gurren Lagann's re-release to celebrate Trigger getting the rights back. It's been one of my top favorite anime since it's release, and it's coming of age story,  about "becoming a man" really hits different when you're a trans dude. I'm glad I'm finally able to do something for it.  And I really think I levelled up along the way.

I'm really glad I preserved the first pass of the sketch, though, because a lot of the current negative space is going to be drawn in with alcohol and pain marker, and I really wanted to do a comparison of all the stages when it's done. Got a few tweaks I wanna do to the sketch before I ink it, but I'm also excited for this to be my first project back to the stream schedule!
