The Napping Dragon (WIP) (Patreon)

This piece has been a massive undertaking. And honestly? I was worried I didn't have the skill to push through it. But I took on the commission because I wanted the challenge, and my friend who commissioned me has a lot of faith and understanding in me.

He wanted a custom treasure token for his Magic the Gathering deck, something he could give away to people who beat him in games at meets and tournaments. And he had this vision in mind he wanted me to run with. And I was like, hell yeah. Lets do it. If nothing else, it's a great portfolio piece.

I admit I was struggling with it at first. There came points where I'm like, man. I don't know if I have the skill for this. Some of this is so tedious. I'm going cross eyed! But it's starting to finally come together, and I wanted to share the steps along the way.

I hope to be finished with this monster in the next week or so. And I'm feeling a lot more confident about it now.
