Luke's next sequence takes him to the front entrance of the big top tent of the Riddle Box Carnival- enthusiastically guarded by Gylynn Grayly, who is very much a gameshow host clown. Gylynn has their own set of powers, and this is where the real ICP influence actually shows and where I wanted to really start delving into some of my unfortunately extensive headcanons for juggalore. I wanted to make a whole carnival full of believeable juggalos for the world that would align with the Insane Clown Posse mythos. Grayly was the very first troll that I wanted to write, and I love how their design turned out. They are heavily inspired by the songs The Joker's Wild and The Neden Game from ICP. They are wacky, they are extremely personal while being extremely difficult to know, and they always give the aura that a camera just just off-screen filming the entire event.

As a fun fact, all of the characters appearing in this comic save for Luke and Matron (to be introduced soon) were set to be adoptables once the comic was completed. I'm still not entirely unsold on the idea, either, so maybe Grayly will change hands one day! I still love their dynamic with Luke. Tbh, I always enjoy writing the dialog for these interactions in the story- even tho sometimes I might get a bit too heavy on the jokes.

It was definitely at this point in writing and drawing that I realized I was going too deep on the plot, lore, and art.... but I also really didn't care cause it was fun
