I guess this counts as an update (Patreon)

hi everyone! it's me. i just wanted to write up a quick update thingy because i am very exhausted and art is hard and i may or may not be changing stuff over here. 

for one, i'm very thankful that the reception to my sketch dump posts has been very positive lately. i appreciate it a lot! that stuff is very chill and low stakes for me so it's relieving to see that people view it favorably. i tend to not post my work-in-progress or non-polished pieces since i have this weird inferiority complex with art that makes me anxious to share anything that i don't think is the height of quality, but that mindset is pretty stupid and prevents me from having fun a lot of the time. i'm gonna keep posting my crusty sketches and the annoying chaos demons in my brain are just gonna have to deal with it.

on the topic of sketches—i'm likely going to shift the sketch reward format to something akin to my recent sketch dumps. i hope it doesn't come as a shock or a disappointment to anyone, i'm sorry!! it's just that the way i do them now is really time-consuming and i've found myself spending a lot longer on what are supposed to be much quicker pieces, and the feeling of obligation weighs down on me like a ton of bricks. or more aptly, a ton of, like, fat girls or something? i dunno? regardless, simplifying my process has been a large focus for me as of late and i want my monthly sketches to reflect that. that being said, the submissions process will still be the same, and i'm still going to finish up the three or so i have remaining for may and post those as soon as i can. i appreciate you all being patient with me, i know i tend to go a while with nothing but radio silence but i promise i'm really trying my best.

anyways, i also plan on opening commissions during june and hopefully more regularly after that. i'm likely taking a break from school for a while during the fall because of how scuffed my brain is and that will hopefully allow for more time to do art stuff. yay! i'll be sure to keep you all updated on commissions since i'm somewhat reworking how i handle them. as usual patrons will get early access to them as well as a discount and maybe some other cool bonuses in general down the line. as per usual i'm always open to ideas for how i can improve things over here and hopefully draw in more new people, so please let me know of stuff you think would be cool.
