Hey Patrons!

I've been struggling with this way more than I probably should this entire week.

What do you think about the current method of progression versus the proposed change?

== Current ==

Affection is a flat stat.  

Cleaning, fondling, HJ, etc will all improve your relationship with Julie.  It doesn't matter which activities you do.


== Proposed ==

Two separate stats for each character.

1. Default affection (flirting, NSFW acts, etc)

2. Activity points (Julie = cleaning/chores  ||  Working out & playing games will be the activity points for the other two housemates)

With the proposed idea, this encourages balancing non-NSFW activities with NSFW activities to follow the theme of the game in a more organic and varied manner.  

However, implementing this and making sure not to make it over-complicated is a delicate balance.  Trying to figure out a seamless way to implement two unique point values per character without making progression confusing will definitely be more challenging.

I sort of have my own lean on the future of progression which actually kinda merges these ideas ever so slightly but I still am curious how players feel so far.  I know there's not much to go off of but I think the latest build still gives a decent enough idea at how the progression is going to play out through HC.

Thanks for taking the time to ask us! And yeah more variation the better! And I understand this entails more development time and testing and potential bugs. But so be it, as long as YOU are happy with the decision and feel motivated for it and think you can make a better game out of it then you do you and I am all for it!

Good news- spent last night really digging into the code of the proposed plan and everything seems to be going smooth. Eventually I'll want to make a stats screen that visualizes how far you have progressed but that will take some time. Thanks for the feedback. Was actually surprised to see 'Proposed' get such a commanding lead!

i thought you wanted the game to be short and sweet. proposed method seems like you're making the game more complicated than you originally intended. i really like the game's art and it'd be really nice to see a focus more on possible animations and actual story instead of having to worry about stats too much....

The stats are usually planned in a way where if you do every new activity once, the next section opens up. If there's any grind to the activities, it'll be very minimum so I hope that eases your worries a bit. Thematically, being able to clean dishes enough and go all the way with the maid would certainly feel kind of off.
