Guys, been working on this for a while. Honestly if you skip anything skip the first part. The second half of the video where we talk about the real life spy stories is well worth it.

Israeli Spy/Assassination Pistol - Beretta Model 71 in .22lr [ Mossad + Sayeret Matkal stories ]

In the 60's and 70's, Israeli intelligence services, the Mossad, El Al sky marshals, and the Tier 1 counter-terror unit Sayeret Matkal had one thing in common: the Beretta Model 71 .22LR pistol. While many were still debating the "knock down power" of the .45ACP and .357 Mag, these Israeli agents and operatives were actively pushing this sub-compact .22 pistol into counter-terror missions. Honestly the best part of the video is the second half with "war stories" involving this Beretta .22 in multiple counter-terror operations 10:23 : 11:05 Operation Wrath of God - Mossad agents assassinate terrorists in Europe and the Middle East who were responsible for the Munich Terror Incident 13:55 El Al Flight 432 - How an Israeli Sky Marshal took on multiple terrorists with Kalashnikovs and explosives... while he only had a Beretta .22 (and came out victorious) 17:04 Sabena Flight 571 - The elite Sayeret Matkal special operations group takes on a plane of terrorists with firearms and explosives... while only having concealed Beretta .22's 20:04 the mad lad Mordechai Rahamim - This is the signature presentation style by Count Dankula (I enjoy his "Mad Lad" series) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i1yzcEUWjM&list=PLBXe9k4p6_tUI5AbzeBVc_w17LFi6pFDQ Music: Show Me Your Pizza (with vocals) by Tailed Feature - https://tailedfeature.bandcamp.com/track/show-me-your-pizza-with-vocals Special thanks to The Gun Room LLC for loaning us and helping with the examples of the Beretta Mod. 71 here. Also huge thanks to Nati Dinnar, producer of Sabena Hijacking (2019) - you can watch it here: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/sabenahijacking?autoplay=1 -Interesting note is that both Israelis operatives AND the terrorists were interviewed for this documentary. There are a lot of mission details that we could not even go into in detail, that this "docu-drama" did an excellent job at analyzing. We didn't feature this in the video, but fantastic classic video on Operation Wrath of God if you have a Friday evening open to enjoy an old film: https://youtu.be/ywsQUpK5EOo Operation Wrath of God white paper "COUNTERING TERRORISM: THE ISRAELI RESPONSE TO THE 1972 MUNICH OLYMPIC MASSACRE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT COVERT ACTION TEAMS" https://fas.org/irp/eprint/calahan.htm NY times article https://www.nytimes.com/1973/04/07/archives/iraqi-on-a-guerrilla-mission-shot-and-killed-in-paris-street.html We have a discount for Slate Black Industries MLOK accessories! 👉 www (dot) slateblackindustries (dot) com Discount code: 9HOLE Shopping with this link costs you nothing, but provides us with equipment: https://www.amazon.com/?tag=sbi09-20 Tasteful merchandise for the discerning firearms enthusiast 👉 https://teespring.com/stores/9-hole-reviews This video's editing by Agency Communications LLC __________________________________________________________________ We love mail: 9 Hole Reviews 21175 Tomball Pkwy. https://youtu.be/OLufq-CA7bM?t=1151 had to make some changes to the video: - Removed the part where Mike was using the lathe to turn down the barrel - Edited Salemeh's profile as the COO for black september - Added some netanyahu footage/ interview - enhanced the Rahamim "mad lad portion" now

This story inspired me to try and buy a 71 pistol. However, my attempts resulted in finding out the pistol is so appreciated that they're going for over $800 on GB. The one I was watching I would have paid around $500 for but it sold for over $800 so I missed it to say the least. Of all the small .22 pistols I'd like to own, this one is top of the list. However, I won't pay that much. Any tips on how to score one?

Unfortunately we may be partially to be blamed for this. On top of the fact that these have been out of production for a long time and the batch that came in from israel (since it is a finite amount) have also been sold out. I think the best bet is to "run into" one locally. Lots of people commented that they saw them for sale locally for cheap still, but I'm sure those will dry out at some point too.

I have a E. German Makarov pistol in mint condition that I'm going to offer up to one of the guys selling a Beretta 71 and see if we can work a trade. My large local guns store in Albuquerque didn't have any and they usually have a good stock of military surplus. And Yes, I think you are partially responsible as your video was excellent on it.
