Post-war Great Britain saw a drastic change in firearm laws, and one of the ways to own an SMLE No.1 Lee Enfield would be to purchase a BSA converted .410 shotgun. The base of the .303 British was actually nearly identical to the .410 shell. 


Unlike the Ishapore versions of No.1 shotguns in .410, this BSA conversion actually feeds from the magazine (not always reliable, and can only hold 3 shells). 


That said, the .410 SMLE shotgun is still in current service in parts of the world (mainly S. Asia). So how effective is it to clear targets with? Henry investigates.
