Familia today’s reaction was SO MUCH FUN! 🙌 We have been dying to watch the behind-the-scenes of Hobi at Lollapalooza. 😩

Also, many of you have been recommending RM on the PSick show and the show was pretty sick! 🤘 We really enjoyed the group of guys with Namjoon, it was hilarious to see all of their reactions when Namjoon let them know he was a fan of their show. 😂

A little bit more context about the hotel joke in 4 hour increments is that in Japan and Korea people can rent hotels to um... meet with people because in Korea it's very common for young adults to live at home with their parents until they're married or if they have a really good job. People also have roommates and some people have affairs or just need a place to crash overnight if they're houselss. So people can rent a hotel room to do some adult business. In Japan they're called "love hotels" and some are pay by the hour.

I was also at Hobipalooza so seeing it through his perspective made me feel even more proud and grateful. Like he just deserves all the props and respect in the world for pulling that off and at such a high level. He didn't just do it, he DEMOLISHED IT. Like he schooled everyone who has ever stepped on any stage with that show. And it was his FIRST TIME performing a full set of his music solo to a crowd that size. In a foreign country too. Like he just cemented for me that he's the performer of our generation and seeing how in control and professional he was was the icing on the cake. And as someone who is a huge fan of JiHope's dynamic the support and love there was great to see more of too.

BTW in case anyone is curious, some korean context for the gift giving- Weddings accept envelopes and only recently do they have a registry, but traditionally you give them money depending on how much you know the couple and how much you are perceived to earn; HOWEVER, its a crazy noonchi game of trying to guess how much the couple is expecting of you without them telling you outright. Plus, you have to calculate if you give this couple $x, then the same friend group will expect similar amounts for their weddings and also take into consideration how much everyone else is potentially giving them. The main goal of the game is to not seem too cheap or too flashy- you can offend them at both ends of the spectrum. This “game” is played not only at weddings, but also at funerals and landmark birthdays (1 year old, 60yrs, 70yrs, etc.) and its a headache EVERYTIME

I loved your reactions to hobipalooza behind and the psick show. Now that I can finally access patreon again with my new IPad (the last one was too old to support the updates) I’m having such a great time in catching up. Although I commented on your YouTube, I want to reiterate my well wishes for you and the bumps in the road that you have been facing. The only thing I can offer is that I live with the mantra of ‘this too shall pass’. when outside storms threaten to engulf my head space. Each persons journey is different though so only you can determine what’s right for you and what you need. Just want you to know that we will be here in support.
