Back here because we are watching 2018 memories in June of 2023. Proud of you Uthy for remembering this ep from almost two years ago!

I laugh every time I see their fascination with the “big banana” they found, cause that is definitely a plantain banana that you can’t just eat raw, you need to fry it or cook it! I really hope they didn’t buy one, they definitely would’ve eaten it raw🤦🏾‍♀️🤣🤣

- Korean pizza - Koreans tend to prefer pizza to be less salty and more sweet, so the Korean version of pizza is VERY different from the American version of pizza - you will often find things like sweet potato crusts, sweet corn, slices of potato, and seafood on Korean pizza - they're also served with pickles to cut the greasiness of the pizza - jjimdak - jjim is Korean for braise, dak is Korean for chicken - so that was chicken braised in a soy based sauce, with potatoes, carrots, and glass noodles - zombie bread - like others have already stated, that is the Twinkie (I think it was actually Hohos, but I can't remember specifically) that Woody Harrelson's character was on a holy grail type quest for in the movie, Zombieland - youngest to pour - in Korea, there is a very specific drinking culture based on age and respect - you're not supposed to pour your own drink, but rather, your dining partner pours it for you - in a group setting, the youngest will often be the one to pour everyone's drinks - in pouring, the youngest pours for their elder with two hands, the elder receives with one hand - when pouring for the younger, the elder will use one hand to pour, and the younger will hold their cup with two hands - also, when drinking, the youngest will cover their mouth and turn away from their elder while drinking - of course, in a friend setting, the rules are lax and not quite as important to keep up with, but drinking culture is real, and is simply a sign of respect and good manners, like how in western cultures, it's considered polite to keep your elbows off the table and eat with your mouth closed, avoiding smacking of lips, slurping, or burping - foreigners aren't expected to know all this, but Koreans will be pleasantly surprised and pleased if they do - qotd - I can generally cook anything I feel like making, but my favorite thing to make is probably pecan pralines because they're so easy, but so tasty, easy to make different varieties of, and always bring a smile to anyone I gift them to
