"Gee, Peri."  Amethyst purred in amusement.  "Didn't think you'd take to earth food enough ta' outgrow my fat ass."

Peridot growled under her breath, trying to hide the utter humiliation she felt.  Amethyst, the most overtly soft gem of the bunch, was able to so easily call out her size!  The great Peridot, utterly unable to counter the notions of her indulgence and subsequent weight gain!

Amethyst's knee pressed into the underside of her gut as the catlike gem surveyed the doughball of a gem.  The feeling of her heavy gut deforming against the limb made Peridot's face heat up, not that she'd ever admit it outright.

"C-cease your insufferable teasing remarks!"  Peridot finally stammered out.  "I'm simply...  testing the effects of heightened caloric consumption on a light-based humanoid..!"  Yeah, surely that would work!

Peridot's articulated and wordy excuse was met with a blank stare from the purple gem, before Amethyst shrugged and stood up.  (Peridot noted, somewhat embarrassed, that her stomach rippled and wobbled in the aftermath).

"Well, whatever yer' reason is, you wanna come with me to The Big Donut?"  Amethyst offered.  "Hear they've got some new crazy items in stock."

Was this a trap?  Would Amethyst tease her once she obliged?  Whatever the case, Peridot's stomach gurgled and growled fiercely, leaving the green-skinned woman with no other choice.

"...Fine."

"Sweet."
