September Render Poll (Patreon)

Alrighty, another month another poll!  Many of the suggestions provided to me in the earlier post this month have been used to fill out the option here!  The poll is going to run until the 16th of this month,  and per usual each of you may leave two votes.

i mean this with all the good faith and best intentions but i really think you should consider doing alternating polls each month with popular/often suggested characters in one and more niche characters into another. just so everybody has a fair shot of getting their characters chosen. because when you put them all into one giant poll, it’s obvious the more popular characters are going to dominate. the amount of art spider-gwen and the mha girls get in comparison to characters like kim pine and nico robin is super disproportionate. ik this is your patreon and you can ultimately decide to draw whichever characters you feel most compelled to draw but i think it’s something to just consider here. i think it’s only fair so more suggestions get a chance to be seen and heard.

I get what you're saying, but at the same time if I'm to be totally blunt I'm not surprised that the following that got here through my my hero/spider gwen/etc. art is going to vote for my hero and spider-gwen. I'm not going to pretend there aren't certain options I hope win, and certain options I actively hope lose. Nothing STOPS me from running a "popular" poll and a "niche" poll, but at the end of the day even if I split the poll in two I can guarantee you there's a high chance people will still be sore that THEIR niche character never wins, only everyone ELSE's niche char. Maybe I'll do something like this in the future, but I'd sooner make it a separate pol that runs concurrently with the main poll because I'd rather not have to ignore half of the poll suggestions every other month just so I can have my "niche poll" Also, I'd be less likely to do a "niche poll" and more likely to make a poll that builds out of the like, bottom 4-5 options from the main poll. Niche is subjective, vote tallies are very objective.

Also, maybe it's just me, but using Nico Robin and Kim as examples is odd becuase Nico Robin is absolutely not niche, and Kim is literally one of the highest-voted options on this poll, alongside a BALDUR'S GATE character, which my following was not at all built around.
