If you ever get to react to all of it, I'm watching it. SAO may have been my first anime, but it's been years. I think the romance part alone got me in tears. I like that it has themes of survival, trauma, grief, existentialism, and sentient artificial intelligence. There might still be more seasons coming. Also, you're right that Gun Gale Online is a (imo good) standalone spinoff that only now is getting a season 2, many years later.
