Hey, I don't know what you would or would not consider spoilers, so before reading the next paragraph just a quick warning that I'm mentioning some stuff about VERY general story structure, no actual events or details, just some general thoughts about the way that the structure of the show is generally designed, so skip if you wanna say completly clear of anything, but I personally would not consider this spoiler: You'll notice from here on that most of the large sagas have a bit of an introducory arc and a wrap-up arc at the begin and at the end and these are both to setup the big upcoming arc but they are also where we see most of the world-building of what's going on everywhere else in the world. This moment with Buggy and Ace is a good early example, but in the future the world as a whole gets really fleshed out and we see events unfolding that in the moment have nothing to do with the straw-hats but will start snowballing into larger events that will matter to them in the future. These pre-and post-arcs are some fan-favorite arcs as a result of the huge push in the lore and information on the general state of the world and off characters we haven't seen in a while or that are teased for the future.

Thank you! I don't consider that a spoiler either, and I've heard similar things from others. It was already happening on a minor scale between arcs, but I'm definitely excited for the larger ones.

You've already seen Buggy's and Koby's cover story panels animated but the rest never were for the most part (a shame as they're canon). I suggest cover story 3: "Jango's Dance Paradise" which took place before Alabasta. Over time you will be able to see more cover stories when they're spoiler-free; there are 18 total currently and some are very important. You could watch it in color using this link, on your own if you want, but filming your reaction would be appreciated too!
