HELLO, friends! Here is an Early One Piece video for two reasons. 1) I wanted to do a bonus One Piece video for you guys for a little while, since I've been getting ahead on Korra, I wanted to get ahead a little on One Piece. 2) Today I filmed my Demon Slayer reaction and lost the footage, so I wanted to put up SOMETHING on my Patreon today.

So here is the CONCLUSION of the Alabasta Saga (canon)! Get ready for tears, because I shed them. Also, I have already recorded my reaction to the OP's visuals, which will be in the next video, so don't worry about spoiling that for me anymore. I have now seen them!

Here is the full-length reaction, you must have your own footage to be able to watch it properly with me.

Glad you enjoyed the episodes so much. Just some thoughts regarding trading swimming for a devils fruit, while it's obviously a danger and a downside, as long as you have people around you who can swim, you aren't that in danger and if you were to fall into the sea all on your own, with nobody around, then I honestly don't know how much help swimming would be for you. Don't get me wrong, obviously it's still a down-side, but I'd actually suggest that being on the high-seas makes it more irrelevant, since IF you find yourself alone in the middle of the ocean, with nobody nearby to swim you to savety, then I'd imagine you'd die whether you can swim or not, unless there is a ship and you are just out of reach but nobody is around. So I'd actually imagine a devils fruit would be worse in an area with lots of lakes and rivers, since those are occasions where swimming can save you, but even then you trade swimming for a lot of power, think about how OP smoker is for example, he can essentially short-range fly.

That is true, and I did think about that afterwards - you make some good points. But still, in their career their entire lives will be around water, and it just requires you to drop in for a few seconds without anybody noticing, and you're straight up dead. Or it takes one pesky pirate just shoving you overboard, or tripping you. Like eat a devil's fruit and then go live peacefully in Alabasta, start a family.

-- Igaram was most likely implied to have been saved by Nico Robin's powers at Whisky Peak. That's what I mentioned I'd reveal at the end of the arc. In one scene, she also briefly said she allowed Vivi to discover Crocodile's identity while undercover. -- Frankly, Pell surviving is one of the most hated things in the fandom (I don't relate). There's a rumor that, because the chapter was written in 2001/2002, Oda was influenced to bring him back because of tensions regarding the attack on Sep 11. I promise this is unconfirmed and I think it had nothing to do with it, but you will get comments saying it's true. If you think about it, the bomb still went off, so Oda didn't censor himself. That's not his style, he's just reluctant to kill certain people. As for the in-world explanation, Zoan users are the most durable people in a world where regular humans are built tough, plus falcons are super fast.

Because of Pell, there's a meme that characters that survive miraculously or come back to life have "The Will of P." which is a play on "The Will of D." mentioned by Dr. Kureha.

1) Ahhh, that does make a lot of sense. Her goal was just to make it look like she was working with Croc, so she was the best one in position to save Igaram. 2) It doesn't surprise me that people are not fans of that. Even I think it's a little silly right after they had Igaram "come back" from his death scene. It doesn't really bother me, I don't really mind characters having fake deaths or plot armour - I just think it's mostly funny that this played out the way it did. As I said, having Igaram and Pell 'die' and return back-to-back does make you think Oda is worried about actually killing that many characters off. But I trust in his writing - I know there'll be other moments of loss that will make up for it.

Oda just announced this today and it's big news; we wish him well: "I am going to have surgery to correct my astigmatism because it is interfering with my work. I have been discussing this with Shonen Jump chief editor since last year and will be taking *4 weeks* off. I will be able to beam out of my eyes."

I hope it all goes well, that man seemingly works his ass off, so he deserves the best.
