Man, I'm doing so much discussion on my Korra videos. I'm sure I go in circles, especially when talking about the characterization of Korra, but it's just so interesting to me.

You're more or less on the right page regarding the animation. Their usual studio (Studio Mir) didn't work on a significant chunk of this season. I've heard a couple of different explanations, but haven't looked into it too deeply. The studio that filled in for them is Studio Pierrot (Naruto, Bleach).

I knew it must have been an Anime studio, hahaha. Didn't know it'd be Pierrot. I don't watch Naruto/Bleach/Black Clover but I've definitely heard those fanbases complain about them. I also know they were partially behind Akudama Drive which I adore - so hey if they've done that and some Korra, they're in my good books.

The Airbender Avatar you are talking about is Avatar Yangchen and Avatar Koruk was the avatar before Khyoshi. We didn’t get much info about Avatar Koruk except the fact that he lost his wife or girlfriend to Koh, the face stealer. On the other hand, we did get much more about Khyoshi like the conflict she had to deal with Chin the Conqueror. There’s a video where Aang has a spiritual journey and learns some of the things that the 4 avatars before Aang had to deal with in their life times. According to the person who uploaded that video to YouTube, he says that the video is an animated graphic novel called “Escape from the Spirit World”, based from an online game. He says it is canon and takes place between book 2: Earth and book 3: fire when Aang was shot with lightning by Azula and his spirit gets trapped in the spirit world. It’s a short video but I thought it had interesting details. Here’s the video if you want to watch it :) https://youtu.be/RwcSRcY1JCU

loving how you pick up on all the relationship drama between all the characters this season and how korras main issues is how people treat her and her readiness to do avatar things. love how you pointed out that mako needed to communicate better and then he did it in the next 5 seconds was so funny for me. also remember this episode that is all
